Bio
Thanks for coming to my webpage. My name is Kiesza and I’m a Canadian singer, living in New York City! I’m currently working on my latest album with Rami Afuni, an incredible producer/writer who has produced for artists such as Akon, Busta Rhymes, LMFAO and Tinchy Stryder. Please keep updated with my webpage, as I update it frequently. A lot of really amazing things are around the corner, such as the release of my new clothing line, new single, new shows etc. Also please feel free to leave comments all over the webpage. I built it to be very interactive, to allow for close communication. I run the page myself, so I’ll be checking all the comments, as well, I design all my clothing and merchandise myself, so everything is 100% from the source!
A little about me…
I just recently graduated from Berklee College of Music in August and have been working on developing my new sound and style for the past year. Before I decided to devote the rest of my life to music, I was a sailor and a sea-women in the Canadian Navy and for many years before that I was an aspiring ballerina. I was born in Calgary, Alberta (a home grown prairie girl) and started my musical journey with a more organic acoustic sound, until I was struck by lightning and morphed into and electrically-charged pop singer/songwriter.
I LOVE ABBA, Michael Jackson, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Bob Dyan, Boney M, Cat Stevens and the Beatles. Those were my childhood influences basically, but I continue to draw influence from new artists that I discover every day. It’s impossible to name all of the musicians that I love, because it’s endless.

Hi there,
I have a few of your songs through iTunes and decided to check out you webpage. I was curious about you so I read your bio. While short, I was intrigued by a couple things. To start, I would be interested in knowing a little more about what you did in the Navy. I too was a sailor (now in the Army). I spent six years on HMCS Toronto as a stoker and loved my time. As an add-on to that, you say you are an avid sailor. Do you mean sail boats? If so, I would be curious to hear a little more about your sailing experiences. Again, I am a sailor and have sailed in the Med, Bay of Biscay, Solent, the East coast and Lake Ontario.
Like I said, I am just curious to learn more, as I enjoy meeting people with similar stories and experiences. Take care,
John
Hey John!
Nice to hear from you! I was based out of HMCS Tecumseh, in Calgary and trained in Borden, Ontario! As for sailing, I mainly sailed on a 132 foot Schooner called the Pacific Grace, as well as taught sailing on smaller sailboats. I spent a lot of time on Lasers, CMJ’s, 420′s! The longest sail I ever did was from Victoria, BC to Hawaii.
Cheers!
Kiesza
